ABOUT US

The Cobega Group is the Daurella family’s financial CORPORATION

ABOUT US

In 2012, the Daurella family created the Cobega financial corporation to reorganise, modernise and expand a business trajectory of more than 175 years of history.

The Cobega Group inherited the name Cobega, the first Coca-Cola production and bottling franchise in Spain after the Civil War, granted to the Daurella family in 1951. It was set up as a corporation after the bottling business was spun off, following the merger of the Iberian franchises and the creation of Coca-Cola Iberian Partners.

The Cobega corporation is a reference shareholder in Coca-Cola Europacific Partners and the Equatorial Coca-Cola Bottling Company, with a presence in over 50 countries.

The values of professionalism and effort, which have characterised the different generations of Daurella family entrepreneurs, have turned Cobega into a significant group in the food and drinks sector. It is a corporation that is trusted by major brands such as Coca-Cola, Nespresso and Domino’s Pizza, to which it offers strategic services.

José Daurella Sunyer founded the Daurella & Baixeras company, on Carrer del Rec in Barcelona. In the early years, it was mainly involved in the trade of cotton textiles, but in 1853 it became a salted fish import business, which the family maintained under different names until 2021.

1849

Ten days later, Cobega signed a contract with Coca-Cola to bottle and distribute the drink, initially in Barcelona and its metropolitan area. On 25 November, the foundation stone was laid at the Cobega factory on Carrer dels Almogàvers in Barcelona.
